Eric McConkey, DVM
– Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Eric McConkey is a 2009 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McConkey spent his first three years in practice in St. Joseph and Independence, MO. Dr. McConkey and his wife, Tara bought Turner Animal Hospital in 2012, so they could be closer to family. In addition to general canine and feline medicine Dr. McConkey’s areas of interest are: dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association.
In his time away from Turner Animal Hospital Dr. McConkey enjoys competitive fencing and going on zoo trips with Tara and their sons Tristan and Duncan. The McConkeys have five spoiled rotten cats: Jean Luc, Bumblebee, Niko, Finn, and Suzahnoo.
