Dr. Eric McConkey- Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. McConkey is a 2009 graduate from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McConkey spent the next three years practicing in St. Joseph and Independence, MO. So, they could be closer to family Dr. McConkey and his wife, Tara bought Turner Animal Hospital in 2012. In addition to general companion animal medicine Dr. McConkey’s areas of interest are: feline medicine and soft tissue surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association. In their time away from Turner Animal Hospital Dr. McConkey and Tara enjoy going on zoo trips with their 6 year old son, Tristan. The McConkeys have five spoiled rotten cats: Raiju, Gizmo, Whip, Cleo, and Jean-Luc.
Dr. Stephanie Brennan
Dr. Stephanie Brennan attended Oklahoma State University for Veterinary school graduating in 2015, and joined the team at Turner Animal Hospital in February 2016. Dr. Brennan was born in Memphis Tennessee, and spend most of her life in the Oklahoma City area. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology. Her love of animals began at the age of eight when she got her first pet, a bunny named Jenna. Her love of animals mixed with a love of medicine lead her to the veterinary field. In her spare time Dr. Brennan enjoys reading, playing tourist in her new home of Kansas City, and spending time with her two dogs Oliver and Cody.
Tammy- Veterinary Technician
Tammy has been a Veterinary Technician at Turner Animal Hospital for over a decade. Tammy is not just invested in the quality of care for pet, but making sure that the pet owners are comfortable and knowledgeable about the decisions that they are making for their pet. Tammy has had a wide variety of animals in her life, but she has a love for big dogs. Tammy has been married for nine years, has three children, and a rambunctious grandson. She has a Husky mix named Lola and a Tortoise shell cat named Tinkerbell.
